Nut – Apple – Chocolate Cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 200 g margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 150 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder (baking cocoa, not drinking cocoa)
  • 3 tbsp sugar or granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 apples

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Melt the margarine over low heat. Pour into a baking bowl. First stir in the sugar, then the eggs. Mix the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar and gradually stir into the batter. Peel, quarter, and core the apples. Cut two of the apples into small pieces and mix with half of the nuts. Then stir into the batter. Pour 2/3 of the batter into a springform pan lined with baking paper. Mix the remaining third with the cocoa and pour over the light batter. Preheat oven to 170°C (top and bottom heat). Slice the remaining apple and arrange it on the batter. Sprinkle with nuts and sugar. Bake on the lowest rack for 90 minutes.
