Nut corners or almond corners

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 450 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 190 g butter
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some milk
  • Apricot jam for nut corners; strawberry jam for almond corners
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g hazelnuts or almonds, ground
  • 200 g hazelnuts or almonds, chopped
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Chocolate (milk or dark)

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Mix the first seven ingredients into a dough, occasionally adding a splash of milk until the dough reaches a spreadable consistency. Spread the dough evenly on a baking sheet and spread with apricot jam or strawberry jam. Melt the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar and then let it cool or refrigerate. Add hazelnuts or almonds to the cooled butter and sugar mixture and then spread the mixture evenly over the dough. Bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes until light brown. Then, while still warm, cut into triangles and let them cool. Melt the chocolate and dip the pointed corners of the triangles into the chocolate. Important: The corners must be completely cool, otherwise they will crumble when dipped in the chocolate. Let them dry.
