Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 140 g sugar
  • 140 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 210 g butter or margarine
  • 280 g flour

my grandma’s simple nut cookies

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead with your hands to form a shortcrust pastry. Then form into small balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them to allow them to rise quite a bit! Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. The Nusslaiberl should then be light brown.
