Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Mix the quark (pass through a sieve for a finer texture) with the milk, oil, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Then add about half of the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder, a tablespoon at a time, and stir in. Knead in the rest of the flour. For the filling, mix the hazelnut kernels, sugar, cooking oil, and orange peel with the orange juice and enough water to form a smooth mixture. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out rectangles measuring 7×14 cm. Fill one shorter side with some of the filling and roll up the dough sheets from this side. Place the nut rolls on a greased baking sheet and brush with milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 175-195 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes.
