Oat-potato bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 225 g potatoes, peeled, floury
  • 210 ml water, lukewarm
  • 500 g flour, 550
  • 3 tbsp oat flakes
  • 2 tbsp skimmed milk powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tbsp brown sugar
  • 40 g butter, soft or diced
  • ½ tsp dry yeast or
  • 20 g yeast, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

for the BBA

Boil the potatoes until tender, mash them, and let them cool slightly. This also works with day-old potatoes. Pour the water into the pan and sprinkle the flour on top. Add the oats and skimmed milk powder, then the potatoes. Spread the salt, sugar, and butter around the edges. Add the yeast to the center. Crumble in the fresh yeast. Program: Normal, medium browning. When the bread is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. The potatoes really make this bread delicious. It’s one of our favorites from the BBA!
