Oatmeal and cheese patties

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g oat flakes
  • 200 g Emmental cheese
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 eggs
  • some salt
  • some pepper
  • some paprika powder
  • 5 slice(s) cooked ham, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

vegetarian or with ham

Peel the onion and finely dice. Grate or finely dice the cheese. Optional: Finely slice the ham. Sauté the diced onion in a pan with a little oil. Mix the oats, grated cheese, milk, and eggs. Stir in the sautéed diced onion and, if desired, the ham pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Form the mixture into patties and fry them slowly on both sides in the pan with a little oil. Close the lid so the cheese can melt thoroughly.
