Oatmeal butter waffles

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 5 eggs
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g oat flakes, fine
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • ½ liter of milk (1.5%), lukewarm
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp rum
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cream the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and beat. Combine the flour, salt, cinnamon, oats, and baking powder, and gradually stir in. Heat the milk and slowly add it along with the rum. Coarsely grate the apple and fold in. Bake the batter in batches in the preheated waffle iron until golden brown. Sprinkle the hot waffles generously with powdered sugar and serve. Makes about 18 waffles. The apple will only be very lightly featured, so if you’re an apple fan, you can add a second apple.
