Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 250 g oat flakes
  • 50 g hazelnuts (ground)
  • 50 g raisins
  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Salt
  • 50 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Soak the raisins in rum overnight; if you have children with you, skip this step. Pour cold milk over the oatmeal and let it soak for 2 hours. Stir in the sugar, raisins, hazelnuts, salt, softened butter, and egg yolks. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Bake until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes in the waffle iron.
