  • ½ cube of vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 5 tbsp onion(s) (fried onions) or chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Meatball alternative for the end of the month

Mix half the stock cube with the boiling water and tomato paste, then mix with the remaining ingredients using a fork. Once the mixture is warm enough, knead it with your hands. Depending on the size of the cup, the mixture may become too sticky (add a few more oats) or it may not hold together well (add a little more water). Then form very flat, palm-sized patties and fry them in a pan. Tip: Leftovers from the refrigerator are great for refining the recipe, such as pieces of olives, bell peppers, zucchini, and other ingredients that don’t release too much water or juice. It’s also worth experimenting with soy sauce.
