Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast water, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and salt until a firm dough forms. Knead the dough thoroughly until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place for about 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can use a ready-made dough. For the tomato sauce, peel and dice the onion, and mince the garlic. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil, or more if needed, in a pan and lightly sauté the onions. Add the garlic and chop the herbs. Deglaze the onions with the tomatoes and add the chopped herbs. Let everything simmer for about 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and other spices, if desired. Alternatively, use a ready-made sauce. Roll out half of the dough and line the Omnia form with it. Fill with tomato sauce, a little cheese, and any additional toppings you like. Leave the edges of the dough free. Roll out the remaining dough and place the flat dough over the topping. Remove any excess dough and press the edges together with a fork. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake for 25 minutes at medium heat. Serve sprinkled with fresh herbs.
