Onion and sunflower seed spread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g onion(s), peeled and weighed
  • 100 g sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp, crushed marjoram, shredded
  • 1 dash of oil, e.g. rapeseed oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper, a good pinch

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Chop the onions medium-coarsely. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and gently fry the onions. Fry the onions, stirring constantly. They can be lightly browned, but don’t let them burn. Add the spices and stir frequently. After about 10 minutes, add the sunflower seeds and let them brown. When you think the onions are cooked, turn off the heat to use the residual heat. Finely purée the mixture while still lukewarm. Pour into a jar.
