Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 dough (yeast dough made from 250 g flour)
  • 750 g onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g bacon, ham or butter cubes
  • Caraway seeds
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly oil

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Roll out the yeast dough and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or oiled. Peel and finely chop the onions, and sauté them in the butter until soft. Combine the flour with the eggs and sour cream. Add to the onions and season with salt and spices (caraway, pepper, garlic) to taste. Spread the topping on the dough and sprinkle with ham, bacon, or butter cubes. Bake on the middle rack of a preheated oven to 180°C until golden brown.
