Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g flour
- 150 g quark
- 6 tbsp oil
- 6 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- some salt
- 300 g lean dried meat
- 500 g onion(s)
- 3 eggs
- ¼ liter sour cream
- Caraway seeds
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Mix the dough ingredients with half of the flour and knead in the remaining flour. Roll out the dough and place in a prepared 26cm or 28cm springform pan. Peel and finely chop the onions. Dice the dried meat and fry briefly in a pan, add the onions and sauté briefly. Pour the mixture onto the dough. Mix the eggs and sour cream, season with caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the onions. Bake in a hot oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. A new Palatinate wine or Federweißer is best served with this dish.
