Onion cake with minced meat and bacon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 450 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g quark
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1 ½ tbsp baking powder
  • 200 g quark
  • 1,500 g onion(s)
  • 500 g minced pork
  • 200 g bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • 400 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 150g Gouda

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes

Mix the ingredients for the dough and spread it on a deep baking sheet. Cut the onions into even rings and dice the bacon. Fry the onion rings in batches in a large pan and add them to a bowl. Fry the bacon cubes and add them to the onions. Fry the minced meat until crumbly and add them to the bowl. Allow to cool slightly. Mix the contents of the bowl with the quark, eggs, and cream and season with salt and pepper. Spread the onion mixture over the dough, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30-40 minutes.
