Ingredients

  • 200 g Red Onion
  • 6 sprigs Fresh thyme
  • 100 ml Sunflower oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 200 g Sour cream
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the grinder

Instructions

  • Peel and halve the onions and cut into thin strips. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Sauté the onions in it until light brown. Pluck the thyme leaves and stir into the onions. Allow to cool slightly. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  • Mix flour with baking powder and pepper and salt.
  • Beat the eggs in a bowl with sour cream. Beat in the rest of the oil. Then quickly stir in the flour mixture and onions.
  • Grease a muffin tin (12 wells or 2x18 small wells) or rinse out silicone molds with cold water. Spread the dough in the wells. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes at 180 ° C. Remove, let cool slightly, then remove from the mold. Let cool on a wire rack.
  • Tip 5: To make it even more spicy, stir 1 tablespoon of crema di balsmico into the onions.
