Onion vegetables with a topping in a Roman pot

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large onions
  • 1,000 g minced beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 200 g cheese, grated Emmental
  • Butter, in flakes
  • 1 class can/n tomato(s) , (Pizza tomatoes)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the onions and chop into large pieces. Mix the minced meat with the eggs, breadcrumbs, pepper, and salt. Add the onions to the well-watered clay pot and place the pizza tomatoes on top. Flatten the minced meat and spread it out evenly, ensuring everything is well coated. Sprinkle with cheese and a few knobs of butter. Place the clay pot in an unheated oven and bake at 220°C for about 90 minutes. Serve with boiled potatoes.
