Orange and Chocolate Cookies

The perfect orange and chocolate cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Flour
  • 150 g Sugar
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp Orange peel
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Orange juice
  • 170 g Cold butter
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  1. Mix the flour, sugar, a pinch of salt and orange peel, pile on a work surface. Press in the recess. Add the egg and orange juice. Spread the butter in flakes on the edge of the flour. Knead everything quickly into a dough. Halve the dough. Knead under 1 half cocoa and milk. Put both halves into a ball and cool in foil for about 30 minutes.
  2. Shape the light-colored dough into 2 rolls. Roll out the dark dough to a thickness of 4 mm and cut into strips approx. 6.5 cm wide. Wrap rolls in one strip at a time, then wrap in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Cut the rolls into slices. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for about 12 minutes.
