Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 125 g margarine
- 100 g brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pack of orange peel (Finesse)
- 75 g chocolate flakes
- 1 tbsp rum
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- ½ tsp gingerbread spice
- 50 g ground almonds
- n. B. Chocolate coating of your choice or powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
not just at Christmas
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead well. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Shape the dough into either three logs approximately 3 cm in diameter or walnut-sized balls. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (convection oven) for approximately 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Melt the chocolate coating in a water bath and spread it on the cookies or logs. Once the chocolate coating has dried on the logs, cut into diagonal strips approximately 2 cm wide. What you cover the cookies with is a matter of taste. You can leave them plain or dust them with powdered sugar. Tip: It’s best to bake double the batch.
