Orange – Coconut – Flakes

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 orange(s), untreated
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp orange liqueur
  • 275 g desiccated coconut

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 175°C. Rinse oranges with hot water, dry, and zest finely. Beat eggs and salt until frothy, gradually adding sugar. Stir in orange liqueur and orange zest, then fold in desiccated coconut. Using 2 moist teaspoons, place small heaping portions onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a hot oven (middle rack) for about 8 minutes. Then turn off the oven and let the orange and coconut flakes dry for another 12 minutes. Tip: Leave the macaroons in the air until soft enough, then store in the tin.
