Orange cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g starch flour
  • 70 g sugar
  • 170 g fat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla flavor or orange peel
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 70 g sugar
  • 1 orange(s), juice and peel
  • 1 pack of pistachios
  • ½ pack of powdered sugar
  • some orange flavor

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

makes about 50 pieces

Make a dough from the ingredients, chill for about 1 hour, then roll out and cut out circles using a round baking tin. Place these on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. For the filling, mix the juice of one orange with the sugar and almonds. Spoon some of the filling onto the cookies with a teaspoon, fold them over, and gently press the ends together. The cookies should look like little Maultaschen (ravioli). Bake the cookies at 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 10-15 minutes, depending on your oven. When they are lightly browned, remove them from the oven and let them cool. When the cookies are cold, mix half a packet of powdered sugar with a little orange flavoring (don’t use too much so the glaze is nice and thick). Spread it over the cookies and decorate with pistachios. These cookies look really impressive.
