Orange curd strudel

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 2 orange(s), organic
  • 2 tbsp Grand Marnier
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • e.g. Grand Marnier or orange juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with puff pastry

Combine the low-fat quark, Grand Marnier, egg, softened butter, and sugar in a bowl and mix everything together. Peel the oranges and remove the segments, leaving the white pith. Unroll the puff pastry, spread the quark mixture on one half, and place the orange segments on top of the quark. Fold the puff pastry over and seal the edges tightly. Place the strudel on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 170°C for about 25 minutes. If desired, glaze the strudel with icing sugar. For this, mix Grand Marnier or orange juice with powdered sugar.
