Orange marzipan bells

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g powdered sugar
  • 300 g hazelnuts
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 2 egg whites
  • 6 ½ packs of vanilla sugar (8g each)
  • 1 orange(s) (untreated, grated peel)
  • 40 g powdered sugar
  • 2 ½ packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 200 g jam (orange jam)
  • n. B. Orangeat, (Aranzini or orange zest, candied)

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Poinsettias, daffodils (fine double biscuits)

Thoroughly mix a quarter of the icing sugar into the marzipan mixture and then knead with the egg white. Combine with the remaining dough ingredients to form a smooth dough. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 4 mm, cut out bells or stars, and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Mix the icing ingredients well and spread the mixture over the cookies. Bake in an oven preheated to about 170°C (no fan) for about 16 to 18 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the baking sheet using the baking paper and allow to cool. Now generously spread the jam on the undersides of half of the cookies and stick it on the undersides of the remaining cookies. Then spread another thin layer of icing on one of the tops, decorate, and allow to dry. If possible, store in a tightly sealed cookie tin so they become nice and soft (this will take a few days).
