Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 250 ml water
- 1 orange(s), zest
- 1 tsp stock powder (beef broth)
- 1 tsp thyme, dried
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp honey
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
sweet and sour
Mix freshly squeezed orange juice with the water. Grate the zest of one orange. If serving meat with the sauce, deglaze the pan with the juice/water mixture. Add the thyme, zest, and stock powder, and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch with a little water to thicken the sauce. Season to taste with honey, salt, and pepper.
