Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 3 carnations
- 3 cardamom pods
- 1 cinnamon stick(s)
- 1 allspice berry
- 1 organic orange(s), grated peel or zest
- 150 g cane sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes until syrupy. Strain the syrup through a fine sieve and pour into a suitable bottle. Store in a cool, dark place. Note: Great for spicing up mulled wine, punch, or as a quick sauce for crepes or pancakes.
