Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g marzipan (raw mass), chopped
- 250 g butter
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 pck. flavoring (1 double packet Finesse Orange Fruit) or grated peel of 2 unsprayed oranges
- 400 g flour
- 100 g starch flour
- ½ jar jelly (orange) or apricot jam
- 1 cup cake icing (chocolate)
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
makes about 80 pieces
Beat the soft butter, chopped marzipan, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar until creamy and the marzipan has dissolved. Then add the eggs and the finesse packets and mix everything thoroughly. Sift the flour, mix it with the cornstarch, and add it all at once to the mixture, stirring briefly. Pipe equal-length sticks of the finished dough, approximately 4 cm in length, onto baking paper using a small star-shaped nozzle. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (convection oven) until golden yellow. This takes approximately 8-10 minutes. Remove from the baking tray using the baking paper and let cool on a flat surface. Stir the marmalade until smooth, using the baking paper to stick two sticks together at a time. Then dip one side, about 1/3 full, into the now warmed and liquid chocolate glaze, then let it dry on baking paper. Store in an airtight container. The sticks will soon be super moist, very crumbly, and keep for a long time.
