Oriental Carrot Vegetables
The perfect oriental carrot vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 medium sized Carrots
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 small Red onion
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 75 ml Vegetable broth
- Salt pepper
- 0,25 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 pinch Ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- Peel, wash and cut the carrots into sticks. Peel the onion and cut into fine rings.
- Let the sugar caramelize in a saucepan. Fry the prepared carrots in it, add grated ginger and fry briefly. Deglaze with vegetable stock and simmer covered for about 7-10 minutes.
- Season the carrots with salt, pepper, cumin and cinnamon. Add the raisins, stir well and let stand on the switched off stove for about 3 minutes.
- Tastes good with fried fish or meat.
