Ottla's Diet – Fried Potatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g waxy potatoes in their jackets from the day before
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 10 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • marjoram
  • possibly onion(s)
  • possibly caraway
  • possibly bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Low fat, full flavor

Peel and slice the potatoes from the previous day. Add a tablespoon of oil to a very large, non-stick frying pan and set it on heat 2. Arrange the potatoes sliced together and fry until they come away from the pan; it can take up to 30 minutes until they can be released from the pan. Then turn them over. If the 500g doesn’t fit in one pan at once, use two pans. Once the potatoes are nice and golden brown on both sides, season with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Finally, add the butter and fry for 2-3 minutes. You can also fry a diced onion, or caraway seeds and bacon, etc. – the sky is the limit. This version tastes just like if you make it with lots of butter or fat, but you save a lot of calories.
