Our Favorite Dish, Lentil Soup

The perfect our favorite dish, lentil soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Mountain lenses
  • 1 size Onion
  • 1 package Soup greens (carrots, leek, celery)
  • 120 g Bacon in cubes
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 6 Pc. Wiener sausages
  • 2 tbsp White wine vinegar
  • 0,5 tsp Cumin
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable broth powder
  • 1 pinch Thyme
  • 2 piece Bay leaves
  • 1 piece Parsley as a bouquet
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  1. Wash the soup greens and cut into small pieces. Finely chop the onion. Wash the lentils in a colander.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large saucepan and fry the bacon. Add the cut vegetables and sauté. Add the lentils, 2 liters of water and the herbs in bunches. Bring to the boil briefly and simmer with the lid on for 45 minutes.
  3. Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes and add them to the saucepan. Let simmer for another 20 minutes.
  4. Season the lentil soup with vinegar, cumin, vegetable stock, salt and pepper.
  5. Cut the sausages into slices and add. Good Appetite!
