Oven-baked chicken fillets with onions

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g onion(s), cut into rings
  • 750 g chicken fillet(s)
  • 250 ml sweet cream
  • oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings using a cucumber slicer (approx. 900g of onions yields 750g onion rings after peeling). Sauté the onions with a little oil over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until translucent and soft. Then add the cream, bring everything to a boil briefly, and then season with salt and pepper. In a second pan, fry the chicken fillets in oil for 5 minutes on each side, then season with salt, pepper, and sweet paprika. Then place the chicken fillets in a baking dish and scatter the onions over the top. Place in the oven at 175°C (convection oven) for about 30 minutes. Pasta or potatoes can be served as a side dish.
