Owl Cake Pop

  • 250 g Cake scraps
  • 50 g Soft butter
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Milk

  • 250 g Dark chocolate couverture
  • Sugar eyes
  • Candy hearts
  • Mandrels
  • Cake pop sticks

Cake pop

  1. Crumble the cake with both hands and work it into a smooth dough with the soft butter and powdered sugar
  2. If the dough is too crumbly, add something to it, the dough must roll well without disintegrating or sticking.
  3. Now small balls of about 12 pieces, press them flat in your hand and let them taper towards the bottom.
  4. For the ears, press in the upper middle a little and shape the dough upwards.
  5. Now put the owls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  1. Carefully melt the cure in a water bath, dip the cake pop stick at the top and then stick it in the middle of the owl and pour everything a little cold again.
  2. Now dip the cake pops in the cure, let them drip off a little and put them in the holes of a kitchen sieve and let them dry.
  3. Just before they are dry, attach the eyes, hearts as feet and bow and an almond as a nose and let everything dry well.
  4. Finally, put a bow on the stem in a glass and give it away; 🙂
