Owl Cake for Jaqueline
The perfect owl cake for jaqueline recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 x 3 Eier
- 2X 300 gr. Biskuitmehl
- 1 P Cake cream
- 2 P Whipped cream
- 3 a cup Cream
- Milk
- 1 P Marzipan paste
- Cocoa
- 1 P Green food coloring
- 1 P Colorful crispies
- For the owl you need 2 biscuit bases, which I made from 3 eggs, 300 gr. Biscuit flour and a shot of water. Beat the mixture for about 20 minutes and then bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Then the 2nd floor. It is best to bake a day in advance so that the biscuit can be processed better.
- Cut the bottoms in half and cut a kind of crescent moon from one of the biscuits that represents the owl’s head. Cut the wings, small pointed ears and feet from the rest.
- Prepare the cake cream according to the instructions on the package with 600ml cream (here chocolate cream). Spread the cream on top and cover with the 2nd part of the biscuit. Chill for about half an hour and prepare the whipped cream with milk according to the instructions on the package.
- Divide the cream, color one part with green food coloring, the other part with cocoa. Then finally distribute the whipped cream on the appropriate “body parts”.
- Knead the marzipan mixture, cut out round eyes, mix the pupil with cocoa so that it turns brown, as does the beak. Also form 2 small rolls, tapering slightly towards the top and cut lengthways with a knife for the claws.
- Cut out a piece of baking paper for the belly and place it on the owl and poke small holes all around with a kebab skewer or other to determine the exact field for the crispies.
- Place the crispies by hand around the holes, sprinkle the remaining cripies in the middle and slowly and carefully smooth out with your hand.
- Place the owl in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
- Of course you can design and decorate the owl individually according to your own ideas.
