Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 small Pak Choi mini umbels, cleaned and cut into strips
  • little oil, or butaris
  • 1 small onion(s), finely diced
  • Salt
  • Pepper, from the mill
  • 1 tsp spice mix (Chinese spice)
  • some ginger, grated
  • Vanilla, ground
  • little sugar or other sweetener
  • 1 dash of soy sauce, dark
  • a little cornstarch or locust bean gum, mixed with a little water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Vegetable side dish

Sauté the onion in the frying oil and add the bok choy. Season with all the spices and simmer briefly until al dente. Add the cornstarch to thicken and bring back to a boil briefly until the vegetables have thickened. Just as delicious with fried fish as with pan-fried meat!
