Pan bread, using up leftover stale bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g bacon, diced
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g bread(s), stale, cut into cubes
  • 2 garlic cloves, squeezed
  • 2 tbsp lard or goose fat
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Rousolo

Carefully mix all ingredients, except the lard, in a bowl and form into a flatbread. Melt the lard in a pan and add the flatbread. Fry on both sides, but only allow it to brown slightly. Serve with a salad, and you have a very inexpensive dish.
