Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 300 g flour or wholemeal flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil or sunflower oil
- 200 ml water, or milk or yogurt
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Place all ingredients in a bowl. Mix until smooth and soft. Let rest for 10 minutes. Heat a non-stick pan. Divide the dough into about 8 portions and fry each one, one after the other, in a little oil over medium heat on both sides. The dough will be quite sticky, so if necessary, simply take a spoonful of batter and place it in the pan, flattening it with a spatula as you turn it over. If you like, you can refine the dough with spices, onions, olives, or ham. The pan breads taste best warm, but they are also great when briefly reheated in the pan or heated up in the microwave.
