Panna cotta

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • ½ liter whipped cream
  • 125 ml milk
  • 75 g sugar
  • 2 sheets of gelatin
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur
  • some orange peel and lemon peel, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 30 minutes

Soak the gelatin in cold water. Split the vanilla pods lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Bring the vanilla seeds and sugar to a boil in the milk. Add the cream and a little grated orange and lemon zest and bring back to a boil. Then let it cool slightly, stirring constantly. Squeeze out the gelatin and dissolve it in the water. Add the orange liqueur and pour the mixture into molds. Refrigerate for about 6 hours until the cream sets. Then briefly place the molds in a hot water bath and turn the panna cotta out onto plates.
