Panna Cotta with red wine sauce

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 800 ml cream
  • 3 tsp gelatin
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 80 g sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 125 ml red wine
  • 125 g cherries (from the jar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 20 minutes

classic Italian dessert

Panna Cotta: Mix the gelatin with 3 tablespoons of the cream and let it swell for 10 minutes. Bring the cream to a boil with the sugar and vanilla sugar, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and whisk in the gelatin thoroughly. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate for at least 6 hours (preferably overnight). Red Wine Sauce: Simmer all the sauce ingredients for 10 minutes. Strain through a sieve and let cool. Serve the set panna cotta with the red wine sauce on dessert plates.
