Papaya with Exotic Minced Meat Filling

The perfect papaya with exotic minced meat filling recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Pc. Papaya
  • 600 g Minced meat
  • 3 tbsp Peanut oil
  • 2 Pc. Red onions
  • 2 tbsp Raisins
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • 1 Msp Long pepper
  • 1 tbsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • Salt
  • 3 tbsp Roasted and salted peanuts
  • 100 g Cheddar cheese
  • 3 Pc. Spring onions fresh
  • Fresh coriander
  • Mint
  • Basil
  • 500 g Basmati rice
  • 100 g Coconut flakes
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (convection: 180 degrees). Halve the papaya lengthways and remove the seeds. Fry the minced meat in the oil until crumbly. Peel the onions, cut into fine wedges, add to the mince with the raisins and fry for 2 minutes. Peel, chop and stir in the garlic. Season the meat with the long pepper (or normal pepper), the paprika powder, the honey and the lime juice and season with salt. Mix in the peanuts.
  2. Divide the minced meat between the papaya halves and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake the papayas on the second rack from the bottom for 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Clean the spring onions, cut into rolls and distribute with the herb leaves on the cooked papayas. Serve with additional cheddar if you like.
  4. Goes well with basmati rice sprinkled with coconut flakes.
