Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 red bell peppers, halved lengthwise
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 80 g bacon, raw, finely sliced ​​(alternatively bacon)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 dl cream
  • 1 tbsp marjoram, finely chopped
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Hollow out the peppers, rinse them, and season the insides with salt and pepper. Divide the bacon between the halves. Mix the eggs, cream, marjoram, and spring onions well and season generously. Spread the sauce among the peppers and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 160°C (320°F) on the second-highest rack for about 30 minutes.
