Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
great sunflower bread from the tray, filled with cheese cream
Crumble the yeast and dissolve it in the milk. Mix it with the flour, butter, sugar and salt to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rise in a preheated, switched off oven at 50°C until it has doubled in size. For the filling, grate the Emmental cheese and mix the Brie in a mixer together with the feta and the layered cheese. Add the Emmental cheese and the egg. Mix everything into a creamy mixture and chill. Knead the yeast dough vigorously and roll it out into a 40 cm square. Spread the cheese mixture on top. Fold the corners of the square towards the middle. Brush the bread with water and sprinkle with the sunflower seeds, pressing the seeds in. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and place in a cold oven. Turn on the oven (electric oven: 175°C, fan: 160°C, gas mark 2), bake for about 50 minutes. Let the bread cool slightly, slice and serve. Makes about 20 slices. A crisp salad goes well with it.
