Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 cube of yeast
- 500 ml milk, warm
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 kg flour
- 5 tbsp oil (I use olive oil)
- Grains, as needed and to taste
- possibly fried onions
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes
20-30 rolls
Mix the milk, yeast, sugar, and salt until the yeast has dissolved. Then add the flour and finally the oil. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30-60 minutes. Knead the dough again (best with your hands) and form small balls (about 20-30). Briefly press in the desired seeds (e.g., sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. I personally add fried onions at the very end for about 5-7 balls, which I knead into the dough before forming the last balls. Cover with a tea towel and let rise again while the oven preheats to 200°C. Before the party sun goes in the oven, lightly spray or sprinkle with water. Now bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes (be careful! Check your own oven’s temperature!).
