Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 80 g smoked belly
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 500 g tomatoes (or peeled tomatoes from a can)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ pepper, red
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan
  • 3 tbsp oil (cold-squeezed extra virgin olive oil)
  • 350 g pasta, long, flat tube pasta

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Noodles with spicy sauce

Peel, deseed, and dice the tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the garlic clove and onion. Finely chop the bacon, deseed and chop the peppers, and finely tear the basil. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and brown the bacon. Remove the bacon from the pan and sauté the onion, garlic, and peppers with 2 tablespoons of oil until soft. Stir in the tomatoes and bacon. Simmer for 20 minutes and add salt. Don’t forget to stir! While the sauce is being prepared, cook the pasta in plenty of water until al dente and add salt. Once the sauce and pasta are ready, combine them and stir in the Parmesan or Pecorino cheese and basil.
