Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • 400 g ham
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated
  • 100 g Edam cheese, grated
  • 100 g Tilsiter, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cook the pasta al dente in boiling salted water. Meanwhile, combine the heavy cream, sour cream, and oil in a bowl. Dice the ham, add it to the bowl, and mix to combine. Season with salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, mix the three different cheeses together. Add 2/3 of the cheese mixture to the bowl with the ham and other ingredients and mix well. The remaining 1/3 of the cheese will be used to sprinkle over the pasta later in the baking dish. Once the pasta is al dente, drain it in a colander and let it drain. Then, once the pasta has cooled slightly, add the ham and cream sauce to the pasta and mix well. Finally, sprinkle the pasta with the remaining cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for 20 minutes, until the cheese has the desired golden brown color. Tip: You can, of course, vary the cheese selection according to your taste. The recipe is also delicious with a spicy mountain cheese.
