Pasta in spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g minced meat, mixed
  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp pepper
  • 250 g pasta
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 50 ml tomato ketchup, reduced sugar
  • 100 ml sweet cream
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 2 tsp chili flakes
  • some garlic powder
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Brown the minced meat in a pan without oil. Dice the onions and add them to the minced meat. Brown the minced meat well and season with salt and pepper. Add the raw pasta and pour in enough vegetable stock to cover the pasta. Cover the pan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove the lid, stir well, and continue simmering uncovered. Once enough liquid has evaporated, stir in the tomato ketchup, cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the remaining seasonings and most of the grated cheese. Continue cooking the sauce until it reaches the desired thickness. Finally, portion out as desired and garnish with the remaining grated cheese.
