Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 8 mushrooms
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes
  • 25 g capers
  • 8 sprigs basil
  • 4 sprigs of oregano
  • 100 liters of red wine
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • some salt and pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Finely dice the shallots. Dice the mushrooms into small cubes. Roughly chop the capers. Pick the basil and oregano and roughly chop them as well. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the shallots for 2 minutes. Then add the mushrooms and sauté for about 2 minutes. Deglaze with the red wine. Let it reduce for about 5 minutes, then add the pizza tomatoes. Add the fresh oregano and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes. Finally, stir in the fresh basil and season with freshly ground salt and pepper. This goes best with freshly cooked tagliatelle.
