Pasta Siciliana with anchovies

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 g anchovies
  • 100 g white bread
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 g pasta (spaghetti)
  • 1 tbsp sultanas
  • e.g. tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the anchovies with the sliced ​​garlic. Briefly cook the pine nuts and sultanas. Crumble the white bread and lightly toast it in another pan without any fat. Mix the spaghetti with the anchovies and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you like, you can add 3 tablespoons of tomato paste (with 2 tablespoons of hot water) to the sauce for a fruitier flavor!
