Pasta with broccoli

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g broccoli
  • 400 g pasta (orecchiette pasta)
  • Salt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 anchovy fillets
  • ½ red chili pepper(s)
  • 6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Orecchiette with broccoli

Clean and rinse the broccoli, and divide it into florets. Chop the green stem. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water. Add the broccoli florets to the pasta water and cook for five minutes. Drain both and rinse with cold water. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the garlic. Chop the anchovy fillets. Cut the chili pepper into thin strips (wear gloves). Sauté the garlic, anchovies, and chili pepper in hot oil. Add the pasta and broccoli and heat everything together.
