Pasta with sausage and fennel

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 bulb(s) fennel, finely chopped
  • 2 sausages (salsiccia), cut into small cubes
  • 2 small cans of tomatoes, peeled
  • 350g pasta
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 chili pepper(s), dried
  • 1 tsp, leveled fennel seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the sausage. Add the onion and garlic and fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the fennel and carrot and fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the chili and tomatoes, bring to a boil, and season with salt and pepper. Add the fennel seeds and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently. Season to taste. Cook the pasta until al dente, drain, and serve immediately with the sauce.
