Pasta with steamed tomatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pasta
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 250 g tomatoes, small, e.g. cherry tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp olives, green
  • 3 sprigs of oregano
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and finely dice the garlic and onion. Wash and halve the tomatoes. Slice the green olives into rings. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions, drain well, and reserve about 100 ml of the cooking water. Heat the oil, add the onions and garlic, and cook until translucent. Add the tomatoes, deglaze with the pasta water, and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the olives in the last minute. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Add the pasta and mix well. Serve on 2 plates and garnish with oregano.
