Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 600 g minced beef
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp, heaped cinnamon
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 400 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the macaroni. Peel and finely chop the onion, then fry it with the ground beef. Add the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, and parsley. Season with cinnamon and white wine. Simmer slightly. For the béchamel sauce, melt the butter and sift in the flour. Then slowly add the milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Beat 2 eggs and add them to the béchamel sauce. Place half of the macaroni in a baking dish and top with about 50g of the cheese. Beat 1 egg and add it to the meat, then spread the meat over the pasta and the remaining macaroni on top. Add the remaining cheese to the sauce and pour it over the casserole. Bake in the oven at approximately 180°C for 40 minutes.
