- 250 g ricotta, make sure you use branded product
- 1 m.-sized eggs
- some milk, optional

Puff pastry from Malta
Beat the ricotta and egg until creamy. Add a little milk, if desired. Cut the puff pastry into approximately 10 x 10 cm pieces. Place a tablespoon of ricotta in the center. Brush the right and left sides with water. Press the dough into a pocket and seal the ends tightly to prevent spillage. I used 12 pieces. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick baking foil and arrange the pastizzi on the sheet. Preheat the oven to 200°C and bake the pastries for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
